New ‘Captain America: Civil War’ Sees Spider-Man in Action

Spider-Man, Captain America: Civil War, Marvel

Marvel is continuing their onslaught of the world with the Captain America: Civil War marketing, and this morning their dropped an international trailer that gives us some new footage. What is the best part of this footage you ask? It is a packed with action, and we get to finally see Spider-Man in action, fully equipped with his quippy tongue.

I will apologize for the subtitles and the language, but it is what we have to deal with to get good quality. In this short clip we see Cap getting bombarded, Iron Man firing off some shoulder missiles, the Black Panther taking out Bucky’s motorcycle, and Spider-Man swinging into action, taking out a henchman and confronting Bucky. We get a real sense of just how strong Spidey is in this film, and it is something that I initially underestimated.

The clip even has a short quip my the Web-Slinger, where he tells Bucky, “You have a metal arm? That is awesome dude.” It couldn’t be a more fitting reaction for the newest, youngest Marvel superhero.Spiderman can be seen at the :18 mark of the trailer. Check out the clip below:

There is not really much new footage to digest in the clip, but the Spider-Man scene has me really excited. Recent reviews of the film (from a critic screening), suggest that the film is the best Marvel movie to date. According to the critics, the Russo’s have found the perfect way to balance all the heroes in the film, something that DC, Warner Bros., and Zack Snyder managed to miss in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Will Marvel ever falter? It is something that we have yet to see. The closest the studio came to failing was with Joss Whedon’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, but this film was far from a failure.
