Jon Snow’s Fate is Finally Revealed on ‘Game of Thrones’

Game of Thrones, HBO

At the end of the fifth season of Game of Thrones, fans were shocked to learn that Jon Snow was killed off. This should have come as no surprise, because honestly George R.R. Martin loves to kill of popular characters. Fans of the books and the HBO series chimed in with theories about how Snow could return, or whether the show would leave such a popular character dead.

Fans endured months of despair await the last word on Jon Snow’s fate. Could he come back? How would he come back? Did he really die? There were just too many questions. Kit Harrington has finally chimed in on the ultimate fate of Jon Snow and his heralded return, something we finally got in the latest episode, Home.

In an interview with EW, Kit says that he is sorry for having to lie about Jon Snow to fans of the show:

“I’d like to say sorry for lying to everyone. I’m glad that people were upset that he died. I think my biggest fear was that people were not going to care. Or it would just be, ‘Fine, Jon Snow’s dead.’ But it seems like people had a, similar to the Red Wedding episode, kind of grief about it. Which means something I’m doing – or the show is doing – is right.”

Kit Harrington also had some of the other cast members in on the ruse. I am glad to see Snow come back, and things will only get that much more exciting in episodes to come. So what are your thoughts on the big return of Jon Snow? How will his return change the dynamic of the show, and what big things are on the horizon for GOT?
