‘Overwatch’ and ‘Titanfall 2’ Duke it Out for Game of the Year

Overwatch, Blizzard Entertainment

The Game season is drawing to a close, and it is time to start discussing what games dominated the market this year, and what games didn’t. We are dead in the middle of the Fall game release rush. So, what games did you think stood out this year? Yesterday, the Game Awards announced their official nominee list, and there’s a few surprises here.

Yes, you have your usuals. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End dominated the nominations this year, but one big game franchise failed to make the cut. Where is Call of Duty: Infinite War? The game didn’t make a single category. It appears as though the giant franchise is beginning to topple. To take the coveted ‘Game of the Year’ title, Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End takes on Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch and Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall 2.  All three are great games, and easily took the top attention this year.
