The wait is finally over! The first trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi is here, and it looks more amazing than I was hoping. The balance of the Force looks to be in jeopardy, and with that all hope for the Jedi. Luke is troubled, but begins training Rey in the ways of the Force. The Last of the Jedi picks up right where The Force Awakens ended.

The trailer was shown for the first time at The Last Jedi panel during the Star Wars celebration in Orlando happening this week. There is not a lot shown in the trailer, but the short clips of what we do see looks amazing. We get a few flashes of new planets, an attack on a Rebel base, Poe Dameron’s black X-Wing blowing up, and is that an updated Pod Race? There will be alt that transpires during this film.
The might of the First Order will also be shown, as we get a brief glimpse of a massive space battle. The trailer concludes with ominous words from Luke Skywalker, “It’s Time for the Jedi to end.” What does that mean? Is Luke remorseful, because of Kylo Ren’s betrayal, or is their something else happening here. It could mean that it is time for the Jedi to evolve, seeing as how Supreme Leader Snoke is not a Sith.
Does this mean that we will finally get the big screen version of the Grey Jedi? Could this also mean that the famous Black Light Saber from the EU will also appear at some point? It was mentioned in Rogue One, so it is in the realm of impossibility.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theaters December 15, 2017.
