Did Adam Driver Just Drop a ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ Spoiler Bombshell?

Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Lucasfilm

Did Adam Driver just drop a major Star Wars: The Last Jedi spoiler? In a recent interview, the star leaked out an interesting phrase when talking about the contrast between Rey and Kylo Ren in The Last Jedi. With the overabundance of internet rumors swirling about Rian Johnson’s Star Wars film, it is hard to separate the wheat from the chaff. With the immense secrecy surrounding the plot of the film, what rumors do you begin to believe?

In a recent interview with GQ, Adam Driver said that Rey is “a princess in hiding”:

I remember the initial conversations about having things ‘skinned’, peeling away layers to evolve into other people, and the person Kylo’s pretending to be on the outside is not who he is. He’s a vulnerable kid who doesn’t know where to put his energy, but when he puts his mask on, suddenly, he’s playing a role. JJ had that idea initially and I think Rian took it to the next level.

You have, also, the hidden identity of this princess who’s hiding who she really is so she can survive and Kylo Ren and her hiding behind these artifices.

In other Star Wars related news, The Alamo Drafthouse’s official The Last Jedi pint glass shows Luke Skywalker with his original blue lightsaber, so it is safe to assume that he will brandish the weapon at some point during the film. Skywalker is even on the Dark Side version of the glass, so if you feel that a pint glass is laden with spoilers, Luke might turn to the Dark Side in the film as well. (That was sarcasm, if you couldn’t tell.)
