Comic Book Pull List June 7: Here’s What You Need This Week

It’s never easy to pick out what comics are worth picking up on new comic book day. Well we’re here to help you and give some ideas of what you need to buy this week.

Iceman #1

As one of the original X-Men, Bobby Drake has been doing this superhero thing longer than most. Up until recently, Iceman has always been the light-hearted wise-cracking jokester of every team he was on. Now he is on a new path sparked by the presence of his younger self displaced from the time stream and already living a more truthful life than he ever has. It’s now or never for the original Iceman to build a life and legacy that he can take pride in.   

Unsound #1

Cullen Bunn has been of my favorites since his Sixth Gun comic book series. This new series promises to be a psychological and supernatural thrilling adventure. It is Ashli’s first day as a nurse at Wiermont Psychiatric Hospital when a violent riot forces her to run into the mysterious depths of the hospital. Within this underground world, she will discover a secret history of dark magic and the monstrous use of science.

Superman #24

(Spoiler Alert!) This latest Superman comic book storyline has brought back one of the caped crusader’s most vicious enemies, Manchester Black. Now he has captured Superman’s son, Jon Kent, and is working on turning son against father. Jon Kent’s superpowers are still just beginning to manifest and a new ability of his could prove to be deadly.

Batman #24

After his recent war with Bane, Gotham City and Batman have found a moment of peace. However, following the events of ‘The Button’ crossover with The Flash, Batman knows that a war with an unknown powerful enemy is coming.
