Final ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ is Nothing Short of Beautiful

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Disney

What more could you ask from Disney, They really know how to tell a  good story. Amidst all the rumors of bad screenings and production issues, we are headed down the last stretch to the release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The release date cannot come any sooner, and we now have the final trailer for the film.

The entire sense of the film has changed in this trailer. It appears as thought the film will be an incredible adventure, regardless of whether you know what is coming next or not. I will let you dig into the trailer before ruining anything for you. Check out the final trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story below:

The big emotion that this film gives me, is hope. This is a film about the beginnings of the Rebellion, or at least when the Rebellion decided to step out of the shadows. Erso’s monologue motivates me to want to join the Rebellion. This is exactly the type of film that Disney was intending to make. There is no telling if all the behind-the-scenes rumors are true, but one thing is certain, Rogue One  looks great.

The color palette for this film is different from any other Star Wars movie that has come before, taking us to exotic locals around a galaxy far, far, away. There are bold greens and blues, and over saturated frames that really make me feel as though we will finally have the Star Wars universe that we all want. A universe that is expansive and interesting, with a multitude of tales left to be told.

The trailer even has a short clip that clues us in to Vader’s role in the film. He may work in the shadows and backgrounds, but he will put the screws to Galen. Galen is Jyn Erso’s father, and portrayed by Mads Mikkelsen. We know that the Empire will not be defeated (we need the last Jedi for that), but we do know that the Rebellion has some heart.

Rogue One: Star Wars Story hits theaters on December 16.
