Caution: SPOILERS AHEAD

MarvelIn the aftermath of ‘The Snap’ in Avengers: Infinity War left the MCU heroes in a state of disarray. After all, they are beaten, and Thanos has won. How will the remaining heroes recover and move forward after watching their friends simply vanish into ash?

According to the Russo’s, Earth’s Mightiest Heroes are not taking it very well. In an interview with Wired (via CBR), Joe Russo states that Captain America and Black Widow have developed a “much harder edge” since the events of ‘The Snap’:

In Winter Soldier, what we found so compelling about pairing her up with Captain America was that he is this paragon of morality, and she is a paragon of gray. But they’ve grown together, and I think when you find them in [Infinity War], they’ve been the Secret Avengers for two years… they’re like a tight-knit family now.

Her, Sam Wilson, and Steve Rogers. It’s hardened all of them in a way. I think all of those characters, specifically the ones who survived Infinity War — Cap and Natasha — we will see them with a much harder edge.

In previous statements, the Russo stated that everyone that vanished during ‘The Snap’ is really dead, although fans are clamoring for hope.

The events of Ant-Man and the Wasp leads directly into the end of Infinity War. ‘Time vortices’ exist in the Quantum Realm and fan speculation points to time travel as a means for all of the Marvel heroes to return.

This isn’t the first time that Marvel directors have misled fans in order to keep things on the set secret. It is easy to say that Marvel has their work cut out for them trying to top Avengers 4. Although they seem to do it over and over again with each film release.
