One of the more quiet properties at Marvel Studios is the Ant-Man franchise. The films are great smaller films, which serve more to fill out the MCU, rather than headline the Marvel Film Universe. After two “smaller” films, it appears as though there might be room for one more Ant-Man movie in the MCU.
Although this is far from a confirmation, but it does appear that Marvel is interested in an Ant-Man 3. In a short interview at the Television Critics Association, Michael Douglas confirmed that Marvel is talking about doing Ant-Man 3:
There’s been talk [about another Ant-Man]… [but] there’s been nothing formal right now that I know of. They always kind of spring it on me. The first time you hear about it, it’s already in its third rewrite.
This is great news! It’s a great franchise, that brings a unique perspective and angle to the MCU. There is a world of stories to farm from with the franchise.
