The Asgardian God of Mischief returns to create even more havoc than before. However, there is a catch to his appearance. After the events of Avengers: Infinity War, Loki is no more in the current timeline.
Avengers: Endgame provided answers to how the series would work though. When Loki from the first Avengers movie grabs the Tesseract, after 2023 Tony Stark is hit by 2012 Hulk, he disappears.
This is the Loki who will travel the universe creating mischief. Using the 2012 Loki means the character will still be his villainous self and won’t have gone through his character development in Thor: Dark World and Thor: Ragnarok.
The series will come to the Disney+ Streaming Service and premiers Spring 2021 with Tom Hiddleston reprising the role.
