I would like each of you to know that at this moment I am eating my hat. The second trailer for David Ayer’s Suicide Squad looks completely amazing! Debuting on the MTV Awards moments ago, this trailer is bigger, badder, and bigger! It comes fully packed with action, humor, and a better look at Jared Leto’s Joker.
This trailer sets up the movie a lot more than its predecessor, and I have to admit, it looks wonderful. We knew that Batman would be appearing in this film, but this trailer also tells us that Superman will be mentioned as well.

Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn holding the hammer made me giddy, and to see more from the major players in this movie is a big huge sigh of relief. Set to Sweet’s Ballroom Blitz, (a perfect addition I must say) this trailer gets you excited for the next big DC Comics film to hit this year Suicide Squad. I am really at a loss about where to start. there is so much going on here.
The Joker might have a bit more of a presence in the film the previous rumors were stating, and it really is haunting. The laugh sound maniacal and almost on the verge of haunting. One thing I do like, is how Harley appears afraid of his big appearance, as if she fears him as well. This is an interesting dynamic to entertain and debate about. Does Suicide Squad take place before she falls in love with Mr. J?
The recent news about reshoots to inject additional humor into the film, had me worried that the movie would not be half as good as the trailers are making it seem. I will say that this new trailer quells all of my fears. This movie may not enlighten the world, but it will definitely be one hell of a ride.
