After a long time waiting, we finally have a full trailer for Blade Runner 2049. The film features Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling, and continues the story that started in Ridley Scott’s original tale Blade Runner. Check out the trailer below:
Will Blade Runner 2049 answer the ultimate question, “Is Decker a replicant?” Who knows, but the trailer does hint a bit at it. Does that mean that this question will be the center point for the film? Probably not. A few key things to take from this trailer is the fact that this movie looks and feels exactly like the original film. This is a hard feat to accomplish over 30 years later.
In a short questionnaire, via Facebook, both Gosling and Ford didn’t give up many secrets about the film. They did say that during their meeting scene, that both will discuss the events that transpired in between the original film and this one. The meeting will also have a huge emotional impact, but they didn’t indicate what this impact would be.
This trailer also gives us our first look at Jared Leto, Robin Wright, and Dave Bautista’s characters, as well as additional footage of Gosling and Ford.
Blade Runner 2049 is directed by Dennis Villeneuve (Sicario, Arrival) and hits theaters on October 2.
Will Blade Runner 2049 surpass the success of the first film? Let us know in the comments below!
