Since its inception in 2008, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has played host to many Super Heroes. From Iron Man to Captain America, Black Widow, and The Incredible Hulk, there’s been no shortage of characters to root for.
Thankfully, there are no signs of that stopping as Marvel announces three new shows for the Disney+ service.
After being the only Hulk in the MCU since The Incredible Hulk, he will be joined by a new one in the form of Jessica Walters.
At D23 Kevin Feige announced, Jessica Walters is coming to Disney+ as the Superheroine She-Hulk in her own self-titled series.
Jessica Walters/She-Hulk’s first appearance was in the Savage She-Hulk by the late Stan Lee and John Buscema in February 1980. Unlike her cousin Bruce Banner, Jessica feels confident in her Hulk form and prefers it.
She is able to control her Hulk persona, in the same way, the Smart Hulk in Avengers: Endgame does. However, Jessica is able to switch between her two sides but retains both personalities.
With this news, there’s a big chance we will see the return of Mark Ruffalo. It will be interesting to see if Ruffalo’s Hulk acts as a mentor to his cousin, and how their dynamic will be.
Unfortunately, we might need to wait a long time before finding out who will play the role but fans are already clamoring for the likes of Rosario Dawson and Alison Brie.
Whoever they cast, we can be safe in knowing Marvel always makes the right choice.
