‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ Credit Scenes Explained

he scene opens with Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) driving with a smile on their faces.

Except it isn’t them. Maria shapeshifts into Soren (Sharon Blynn), a Skrull seen in the third act of Captain Marvel. She scolds Fury, knowing he should tell someone what happened.

Fury changes too, and that is when we find out Nick Fury was never there during the movie. It was Talos (Ben Mendelsohn).

However, this isn’t the beginning of the Secret Invasion. Instead, Talos and his wife are on a mission for Nick Fury, who quickly hangs up on them.

The real Fury appears to be in a magical place at first until the background morphs into a fully functioning spaceship with a Skrull workforce.

This scene could lead to many possibilities: a twisted version of Secret Invasion where the Skrulls are helping Fury with his jobs or Marvel is setting up the Sentient World Observation and Response Department (S.W.O.R.D).

S.W.O.R.D is the intergalactic version of S.H.I.E.L.D, so it only makes sense for it to be Nick Fury who sets it up in the MCU.

With the Skrulls revealed to be still around in 2023 it stands to reason one of them can be used to help Peter take back his secret identity.
