Yesterday was a crazy day for Spider-Man fans. Marvel took the opportunity to capitalize on Tom Holland’s talent for spoiling things, and had the actor reveal the new title for their upcoming Spider-Man film, with 4 different titles.
The actual official title is: Spider-Man: No Way Home. Marvel used the video below to officially finalize the actual title of the film due in theaters this Christmas:
The film’s currently in production. Yes, No Way Home is the official title. No, it’s not a joke. The title fits the “Home” theme that Marvel used in the two previous films.
The announcement comes after the first images from the feature dropped. Marvel fooled fans with 3 fake titles for the film, including Spider-Man: Phone Home, Spider-Man: Home Wrecker, and Spider-Man: Home Slice.
The internet had a field day with additional titles, including my favorite: Spider-Man: Work from Home. The tease followed weeks of teasing about the Spidey movie while Tom Holland was promoting his upcoming Apple TV+ movie Cherry.
Holland hasn’t said much about the film, but did talk about a key fight sequence with Cinema Blend:
“I saw an edit three or four days ago of a fight scene that we’ve been shooting for about a month. And it is easily the most impressive fight scene I’ve ever seen in a superhero movie. I was blown away by it.
From the work that the stunt boys have done, to the work that some of the actors and myself have done on set, it’s just been incredible, and I’m really, really excited for people to see it.”
