Earlier this week, a thirty-second clip was released from the television spot that would air during the Super Bowl. The clip didn’t show much, but just as promised, Paramount Pictures has dropped the extended cut of the Transformers: The Last Knight Super Bowl television spot. The trailer runs 50 seconds long, and hints at a major Autobot changing allegiances. Check out the trailer below:

The new trailer features a lot of CGI work, and new glimpses at the redesigned Autobots. This movie will also feature the Dinobots, although things aren’t looking like they are in a great place in this film. Details of the plot are relatively unknown for this film, but it is quickly becoming clear that we may see Nemesis Prime in this film. Is this why we see Bumblebee fighting Optimus Prime in the trailer? Check out the official synopsis of the film below:

The Last Knight shatters the core myths of the Transformers franchise, and redefines what it means to be a hero. Humans and Transformers are at war, Optimus Prime is gone. The key to saving our future lies buried in the secrets of the past, in the hidden history of Transformers on Earth. Saving our world falls upon the shoulders of an unlikely alliance: Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg); Bumblebee; an English Lord (Sir Anthony Hopkins); and an Oxford Professor (Laura Haddock).

There comes a moment in everyone’s life when we are called upon to make a difference. In Transformers: The Last Knight, the hunted will become heroes. Heroes will become villains. Only one world will survive: theirs, or ours.

The scale of this film looks to take the battle globally once again. Transformers: The Last Knight will finally tell us why the Transformers are coming to Earth. This is a franchise that everyone complains about, being that Michael Bay will undoubtedly overwhelm your senses with sound and CGI. This film marks the final Transformers movie for director Michael Bay, but I wouldn’t count him out for another sequel just yet. Bay has technically quit the franchise multiple times in the past. I guess the money is too good to leave.

Transformers: The Last Knight hits theaters on June 23, 2017.
