‘Underworld: Blood Wars’ Brings Beckinsale Back to the Vampire/Lycan Fight

Underworld: Blood Wars, Screen Gems

The first trailer for Underworld: Blood Wars has hit the internet, thrusting the Vampire assassin Selene back into the middle of the Vampire/ Lycan war.

Werewolves and Vampires have fought for centuries, or at least that is what the Underworld franchise built its foundation on. The Underworld films are not bad at all, and a good change from the typical vampire movies, that pit humans versus Vampires. With four movies in the franchise, some believed that Underworld might be dead, but it seems as though there is still more fight left.

Kate Beckinsale returns as the leather bodysuit-wearing Vampire assassin, Selene, in Underworld: Blood Wars. Check out the bad-ass trailer below:

Underworld: Blood Wars will continue the eternal battle between Lycans and Vampires. This time there is a twist, and it seems some want Selene’s blood to create a perfect hybrid being. Here is the official synopsis of the film from /Film:

Underworld: Blood Wars follows Vampire death dealer, Selene (Kate Beckinsale) as she fends off brutal attacks from both the Lycan clan and the Vampire faction that betrayed her. With her only allies, David (Theo James) and his father Thomas (Charles Dance), she must stop the eternal war between Lycans and Vampires, even if it means she has to make the ultimate sacrifice.

Helming Underworld: Blood Wars is director Anna Foerster (Criminal Minds, Outlander). It is written by Cory Goodman (The Last Witch Hunter, Priest). Beckinsale is joined by Theo James, Charles Dance, and Tobias Menzies (Outlander).  Will Selene survive this installment? Where is her and Michael Corvin’s baby girl?

Are you ready for another kick ass installment of Underworld, because I know that I am! There can never be enough Vampire and Werewolf movies in the world.

These answers should all be answered when Underworld: Blood Wars hits theaters on January 6, 2017.
