Spider-Man 2, Sony Pictures

The original trailer for Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man got the HD upgrade recently. The teaser trailer was pulled from distribution after the events of September 2001. The trailer featured the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center, and until recently, was only found in low quality.

The teaser trailer’s in beautiful 4K and color corrected by YouTube user ‘Yoshi Killer 2S’. ‘Yoshi Killer’ uploaded the clip earlier this week. The scene shows Spider-Man catching a helicopter in a giant web, set between the twin towers. It’s a scene shot only for the teaser, and was never meant to be in the film.

Check out the fantastic teaser below:

This version of the original teaser isn’t upgraded from the poor quality clip, rather it comes was “scanned from a 35mm print in 4K.”

Raimi’s original Spider-Man raked in $821 million at the worldwide box office on a budget of $139 million.
