Netflix will release Stranger Things Season 2 on October 27. The date has moved up a few days, from Halloween Day to the 27th, but Netflix states that the date shift is because “there will be [some] new Halloween costume inspiration”. Not only have they announced the official release date for the show, but Netflix also gives us another teaser and a great new poster.
A new piece of art for the upcoming streaming sensation has arrived with a new synopsis that reads:
“1953, date unknown – MKUltra comes to Hawkins and begins experimentation
1979 – Police Chief Jim Hopper returns to Hawkins
1983, November 6 – The vanishing of Will Byers
1983, November 8 – The vanishing of Barbara Holland
2016, July 15 – Part 1
2017, October 27 – Part 2
The second season is set a year after Will’s return, and everything seems back to normal… but a darkness lurks just beneath the surface, threatening all of Hawkins.
It’s 1984, and the citizens of Hawkins, Indiana are still reeling from the horrors of the Demogorgon and the secrets of Hawkins Lab. Will Byers has been rescued from the Upside Down but a bigger, sinister entity still threatens those who survived.”

Stranger Things will have a panel in the coveted Hall H at the San Diego Comic-Con this year. This season of Strangers Things will bring a bigger threat to Hawkins. This season is said to be spookier and darker than the first. Will the show continue to keep its charm? Where did Eleven go, and does Will have powers now too? There are just too many questions right now. One thing is for sure, 1984 will get stranger.
