‘Halloween Kills’ Final Trailer is Bloody and Brutal

Halloween Kills is the hotly anticipated follow-up to the 2018 Halloween. From director David Gordon-Green, Halloween was a sequel to the 1978 Halloween by John Carpenter. It ignores every other sequel.

This includes the 1981 sequel where Michael Myers turns out to be Laurie Strode’s brother.

The new sequel, 40 years has passed since Laurie and Michael fought. Jamie Lee Curtis’ Laurie is a recluse whose life is in tatters. Her family refuse to believe Michael Myers is as terrible as she says.

Michael returns and proves her right. At the end of the movie, the Strode women leave him to burn in Laurie’s house… or at least that’s what they hope.

The final trailer shows us otherwise:

Michael Myers is back and this time it’s personal. The Haddonfield killer is on a rampage while Laurie is recovering from her injuries in hospital. The trailer shows him leaving a devastating trail of bodies as he returns to his childhood home.

It also shows the town deciding they’re done with him. For the first time, the people of Haddonfield are coming together to kill the Boogeyman once and for all. It’s no spoiler to know that won’t happen in this movie since Halloween Ends is out next year.

That’s not all we see in the trailer though. Fans of the original movie will be shrieking at the return of three characters from it. Lindsey Wallace, Tommy Doyle, Marion Chambers and Lonnie Elam are back.

While some of these characters returned in other sequels, this is the first time they’re seen in the rebooted timeline.

It seems Laurie re-unites with them as they, her daughter and granddaughter go to war.

The final moment of the trailer teases Laurie unmasking Michael Myers. Whether it happens is another question, but who knows what’s lurking under there?
