Watch: ‘Warcraft’ International Trailer Gives us Magic

Warcraft, Legendary Pictures

A new trailer has popped up online for Duncan Jones’ Warcraft, and it seems as though they have put in some hours refining the CGI for the film. The previous trailer looked a little rough around the edges, but it seems as thought the studio has finally found a way to seat the Animations into the real world quite nicely.

We finally get a good look at the magic in this movie, and I have to admit that it looks really good. It has a very liquid feel to me, and seems to resonate more than I would expect it to. Basically meaning that it seems natural. The Orcs have also had some touch-up work done to them, allowing for a more realistic looking creäture, and not just appearing to be an in-game cut sequence.  Check out the trailer below:

Warcraft will show us a world where Orcs and Humans will be first meeting, and will be battling with trust issues and apprehension about whether to ally or be enemies. The darkness will come to test the resolve of both races.

One thing that Warcraft is known for is its massive open world, and its large catalog of characters and lore. MMORPG players around the world have stood behind the game and its creators, Blizzard Entertainment, since the game’s inception in November of 1994. How well will this medium translate to the big screen remains to be seen, but if the trailers are any indication, then the transition will be a smooth one.

Warcraft has not been an easy sell though. Blizzard Entertainment announced its partnership with Legendary Pictures in 2006, and we are finally getting a film. It has taken the long way around, but it seems as though Warcraft will be this years big fantasy epic.

Warcraft hits theaters on June 10, 2016.
