Keep a towel close, Douglas Adams’ classic science fiction tale, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy landed a television series on HULU.

Jason Fuchs (Wonder Woman) and Carlton Cuse (Bates Motel, Lost, Jack Ryan) are developing the series for ABC Signature. The duo will executive produce and head the series for Hulu as well as write the script.

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

Dent is one of the few to survive the decimation of the Earth. The Earth met its demise to make way for a hyperspace bypass. Dent is forced to explore a broader galaxy, one he previously thought didn’t exist just days ago. Equipped with a towel and the secret to the universe, Dent must find where he belongs.

The novels have had a few adaptations over the years. Originally a comedy radio series, it then became a 5-novel series, and finally a Hollywood film. Now, HULU is set to bring the story to life on the small screen, allowing viewers to see more of the story, and not just one book.

There’s no release date set for the show, but it’s certain that the meaning of life will still be 42!
