Story details seemingly dropped that elaborate the plot of the upcoming Universal Pictures Jurassic soft reboot, Jurassic World: Rebirth. The first images from the film’s production went live earlier this week.
The production images feature Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, and Mahershala Ali. The film’s poster hit the internet as well.
The promotion dump also features the film’s official title, although the reception of the name isn’t good. Universal dropped a short synopsis at the time. SFF Gazette recently posted what they’re claiming is a more detailed synopsis than the publicity release included.
Check out the longer synopsis for below:
“The film will be set five years following the events of Jurassic World Dominion, when the planet’s ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs.
Those remaining exist in isolated equatorial environments with climates resembling the one in which they once thrived. The three most colossal creatures within that tropical biosphere hold the key to a drug that will bring miraculous life-saving benefits to humankind.
Covert operations expert Zora Bennett (Scarlett Johansson) attempts to secure the genetic material from the dinosaurs but ends up stranded with a civilian family on an island that holds a secret being kept from humanity for decades.”
In addition to the extended synopsis, online scoop writer MyTimeToShineHello claims to know the three major dinosaurs featured in the film: the aquatic Mosasaurus, the Titanisaurus and the Quetzacoatlus.
Director Gareth Edwards helms Rebirth, which also stars Rupert Friend, Luna Blaise, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, and David Iacono.
