‘Moon Knight’: Oscar Isaac in Talks to Star in Series

The Marvel Studios Disney+ shows are growing day by day. First up is WandaVision, which is releasing at some point in December. Afterwards, we’ll see the return of Sam and Bucky in Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Of course, there’s also the She-Hulk series. News broke Tatiana Maslany is playing the lead.

Although, she has recently denied these claims. This isn’t the first time a Marvel actor has denied their casting before the studio confirms it. Mark Ruffalo also sent out a tweet welcoming her to the universe. Therefore, there’s little reason to believe she isn’t playing the character.

However, more casting news has come out about another series. Moon Knight is based on the comic character of the same name. Marc Spector is a CIA agent who is betrayed by his employer and left for dead. That is until the Egyptian moon god Khonshu offers him a second life as his avatar.

As Moon Knight, Spector invests his money and takes on various identities to stray from his past and keep an ear to the ground. He’s sort of like a cross between DC’s Batman and Spectre, but make no mistake, he has his own personality and is beloved by many.

The interesting news for the Moon Knight series comes from Deadline. They report Inside Llewyn Davis star Oscar Isaac is starring in the series. It seems if the news is true he will be Marc Spector.

The actor is no stranger to Disney or Marvel properties. Recently, he was seen in the Star Wars sequel trilogy as Poe Dameron.

Meanwhile, he plays the villain in Fox’s X-Men: Apocalypse and voices Spider-Man 2099 in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse credit scene. If this news is true, then it means he’s been in three different Marvel properties in a short time.

It’s also another huge get for the studio.
