There is no indication whether the reboot will follow the formula of the first film with Vorhees mother attacking campers, or will Jason be the main villain of this film.
Previously David Bruckner was attached to helm the film, with a script written by Hannibal television series writer, Nick Antosca. Brad Fuller and Andrew Form are set to produce the project.
