Although Black Widow is right around the corner, the majority of the plot’s still a mystery to most of us. Last year, Ray Winstone was cast for the film, but his role remains unknown.

A recent rumor might have the answer to which character Winstone is in the movie.

Black Widow‘s mostly set during the time in between the events of Civil War and Infinity War, but includes flashbacks from Natasha Romanoff’s past when she was a Russian spy.

A new report featured in Empire (via Cinema Blend) claims to know who Winstone’s playing in the film. The report states that Winstone’s Dreykov, head of the Red Room program that creates Black Widows.

This isn’t the first time that the name Dreykov’s been used in the MCU. Way back in the first Avengers in 2012, when Loki (Tom Hiddleston) spoke with Widow while he was captured he referenced her as “Dreykov’s daughter”.

The new film will most-definitely visit the events of the Red Room, but in what capacity remains unknown. We might see the Red Room appear in present day, as rumor indicates that Taskmaster will take control of it from Dreykov.

The latest trailer hints that Dreykov’s been usurped, but whether he’s dead or on the run’s unknown. Check out the final trailer for Marvel’s Black Widow below:

Dreykov isn’t a stranger to the MCU, as Loki mentioned his name during the first Avengers film. When Loki arranged his capture aboard the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier, he references Natasha Romanoff as one of “Dreykov’s Daughters.”

Black Widow fell victim to the CoronaVirus because most theaters nationwide will be closed. At the moment, Marvel hasn’t said when the film will release.
