Although it is an animated film that slipped through the cracks, Steven Spielberg’s The Adventures of TinTin was brilliant. Fans of the franchise were happy to see the character gain a second life on the big screen. Unfortunately, not much has been said about a potential sequel yet, until now. According to director Steven Spielberg, The Adventures of TinTin 2 is still happening.
Out doing press rounds for his newest film, Ready Player One, Steven Spielberg gives a minor update to the sequel of his hit animated film, The Adventures of TinTin 2 to Coming Soon:
Peter Jackson has to do the second part. Normally, if all goes well, he will soon start working on the script. As it takes two years of animation work on the film, for you, I would not expect to see it for about three years. But Peter will stick to it. TinTin is not dead!
Three years is a long time to wait for the next installment in the TinTin franchise, but this sequel news keeps me hopeful.
