Sony Pictures Motion Group President Sonford Panitch recently revealed that the upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home will have huge ramifications for the future MCU and Sony’s greater Spidey Cinematic Universe.
In a recent interview with Variety, Panitch was asked about the possibility of Tom Holland‘s Spider-Man interacting with Venom, Carnage, Morbius and/or Kraven the Hunter.
He says that not only has all of those interactions been mapped out, but Marvel and Sony’s partnership isn’t ending any time soon:
“There actually is a plan. I think now maybe it’s getting a little more clear for people where we’re headed and I think when No Way Home comes out, even more will be revealed.
The great thing is we have this very excellent relationship with Kevin [Feige]. There’s an incredible sandbox there to play with.
We want those MCU movies to be absolutely huge, because that’s great for us and our Marvel characters. I think that’s the same thing on their side. But we have a great relationship.
There’s lots of opportunities, I think, that are going to happen.”
There’s also a rumor that Willem Dafoe will return as Norman Osborne/ Green Goblin in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
According to the rumor, Goblin will be the main villain of the Sinister Six film. He joins other crossover villains including Jamie Foxx’s Electro, Alfred Molina Doc Ock, and potentially Lizard, Rhino, and Sandman.
Benedict Cumberbatch joins Spider-Man in his multiverse hijinks this time around. If any of these rumors are true, then Spider-Man: No Way Home will have a pretty large cast.
Cumberbatch joins Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Marisa Tomei, Tony Revolori and Hannibal Buress.
