A new television spot for the upcoming second season of the Disney+ Star Wars series The Mandalorian aired during tonight’s Monday Night Football game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Arizona Cardinals.
Check out the TV Spot below:
The television spot aired ahead of the October 30th launch date for season 2. This trailer is all-together different than the first trailer released for S2, but most of the scenes shows are the same sequences from the first official trailer.
The icy crash opening scene in the trailer’s the only scene that’s something we haven’t seen yet. The second season of The Mandalorian has a linear story, rather than continuing the “episode-of-the-week” format from the first season.
Baby Yoda returns for the eight-episode run of Season 2. The most-notable addition to the second season is the infamous Boba Fett. At the end of Season 1, the armorer sent Mando out on a quest to return ‘Baby Yoda’ to his kind.
In the new trailer, he states that he’s looking for other Mandalorians to aid him in his quest. Is this a hint at Boba Fett’s purpose in Season 2? It’s an interesting thought.
Temuera Morrison, the actor who played Jango Fett in the films, returns to the Star Wars universe as Boba Fett. Fan speculation assumed that the character would come back in a brief cameo role.
Could this mean that Boba could play a larger role in the second season?
The series stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers and Giancarlo Esposito. John Favreau serves as executive producer.
