Marvel Studios dropped the second trailer for their 1990s-era Captain Marvel. This will be the first feature-length film for Carol Danvers a.k.a. Captain Marvel. She is Marvel’s most powerful superhero and will shift the balance of power in a post-snap MCU. The trailer looks great!
The trailer looks fantastic and finally shows off the Captain in her mohawk-laden battle armor. This is a big jump for Marvel into their cosmic universe. Guardians gave us a glimpse of things to come, but with this film, we get a hefty dose of the greater Marvel cosmic universe.
Oscar-winning actress Brie Larson is Carol Danvers, a fighter pilot who is given powers and thrust into the middle of an intergalactic war between two alien races, the Kree and the Skrulls.
This film is a prequel to the current MCU and co-stars Samuel L. Jackson as a Young Nick Fury and Clark Gregg as a young Phil Coulson, thanks to Marvel digital de-aging.
The film will also star two characters killed off during the events of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1, Ronan the Accuser (Lee Pace) and Korath the Pursuer (Djimon Hounsou). Captain Marvel also stars Ben Mendelsohn, Jude Law, Gemma Chan, Lashana Lynch, Algenis Perez Soto, Rune Temte, and McKenna Grace.
