‘IT’ Trailer Has Everything You Know About the Story, But It Will Still Scare the Hell Out of You

IT, New Line Cinema

The first teaser trailer for the film adaptation of the Stephen King novel IT is finally here, and it’s a terrifying trip into the mind of fear itself. Directed by Andy Muscietti, the trailer begins where we expect it to: Georgie (Jackson Robert Scott) chasing a paper boat down the street before it goes into a gutter and into the hands of a very sinister clown. Poor Georgie.

When children begin to disappear in the town of Derry, Maine, a group of young kids is faced with their biggest fears when they square off against an evil clown named Pennywise, whose history of murder and violence dates back for centuries.

Check out the trailer below:

Are you scared yet? This trailer is exactly what I would hope it to be. The trailer takes us on a journey across what we will see in the film, and appears as though Pennywise will attack you mind and your body. The monster’s appetite is never-ending and his visage will haunt your dreams.

How will this new version of Pennywise differ from Tim Curry’s classic portray in the previous adapted television miniseries?

IT stars Bill Skarsgård (Allegiant) as the formidable Pennywise, Jaeden Lieberher (Midnight Special), Jeremy Ray Taylor (Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip), Sophia Lillis (37), Finn Wolfhard (TV’s Stranger Things), Wyatt Oleff (Guardians of the Galaxy), Chosen Jacobs (upcoming Cops and Robbers), Jack Dylan Grazer (Tales of Halloween) and Nicholas Hamilton (Captain Fantastic).
