2022 Oscars: 94th Academy Awards Winners

Oscars

The 94th Academy Awards just wrapped up, with top Oscars honors going to Coda for Best Pictures along with a few other awards. Jane Campion nabbed the Oscar for Best Director. Denis Villeneuve’s Dune mopped up most of the technical awards.

With all of the excitement surrounding the Oscars winners, the highlight of the night ended up being Will Smith rushing the stage to smack Chris Rock for making a joke about Jada Pinkett-Smith. In his defense, Rock didn’t know that Jada had an undisclosed condition that led to her hair loss.

This year’s honors didn’t come as much of a surprise, with all expected winners grabbing Oscars. The editing was an issue this year. A number of awards were cut to give the show a faster pace. Unfortunately, the editing was horrible.

A number of editing blunders cut winner announcements and even thank-you speeches at times.

The fan-favorite award went to Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead.
