2nd Trailer for ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Takes Peter Parker Back to His Roots

Spider-man: Homecoming, Sony Pictures, Marvel Studios

We finally have another trailer for the Marvel/Sony Pictures film Spider-Man: Homecoming. There is a lot of new footage in this trailer, but one thing is for sure: Spider-Man: Homecoming is going to be one exciting film! One thing to note while watching the trailer, is that Tony Stark will play a major part in this film. You can expect Peter to use plenty of Stark Tech while in his new Spidey suit. Check out the second trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming below:

It looks like Peter Parker is pretty much like any teenager: He doesn’t really listen to adults so well, and wants to grow up entirely too fast. Although Tony Stark told him to leave the villains to the professional heroes, Peter is having none of that. As all teenagers who misbehave will agree, that is where the punishment comes. Tony Stark will take Peter’s new suit away, and he has to go back to basics.

This trailer has it all, some great Spidey stuff, plenty of new shots of The Vulture (Michael Keaton) in action, and we get a few more hints about the plot of the film. Marvel is going all-in showing us Peter adjusting to freshly having powers, and not showing us his origin.

The new trailer has plenty of great easter eggs for fans to pick out as well. A keen-eyed observer might notice that Parker is sporting a t-shirt worn by Pepper Potts, Stark using the famous Spidey title “Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man”, and Keaton sporting a furry-necked jacket that resembles the original costume worn by The Vulture. Little does Stony Stark know, that they will need Peter’s talents sooner that he thinks, with Thanos on a quest to get all the infinity stones.

Will Peter be ready for Avengers-level duty in time? Homecoming is directed by Jon Watts (Clown), written by John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein (Vacation), and stars Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Marisa Tomei, Robert Downey Jr., Zendaya, and Donald Glover.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is coming to theaters on July 7, 2017.
