James Cameron has tried for years to adapt Alita: Battle Angel for the big screen. Today brings us the first trailer of the Manga adaptation, and it looks great!
Alita is directed by Robert Rodriguez, and stars Rose Salazar as Alita. Alita is a cyborg found thrown away in a dump by Christopher Waltz, a scientist. She must find out who she is, and will have to battle a lot of other cyborgs to find out the secret. Check out the trailer below:
Initial thoughts about Alita’s appearance are that she doesn’t quite look right. With her big eyes, and over CGI looking body, this is an easy assumption But as the trailer and the film plays out, the outlandish appearance of the cyborgs Alita will encounter should balance this out a bit.
Alita: Battle Angel is produced by James Cameron, and co-stars Jackie Earle Haley, Ed Skrein, and Michelle Rodriguez, and Jennifer Connelly.
