Animated ‘Harley Quinn’ Series is Looking For a Few Good Villains

News broke last year that an R-Rated, animated, adult-oriented Harley Quinn series was in the works, from producers Justin Halpern & Patrick Schumacker and Dean Lorey. Not much else has leaked about the project, and it was believed to be dead. Now a casting notice reveals that this series may be very well on its way. Someone is looking for a few good Batman villains in the process.

Margot Robbie (Suicide Squad) is the ‘top choice’ to voice Harley Quinn in the series, but there is no word whether the star will join the series or turn the offer down.

That Hash Tag Show reported that a casting notice has gone out searching for Batman villains to include: The Joker, Poison Ivy, King Shark and Clayface along with Syborg, Dr. Psycho, and Malice Vundabar.

The direction of the series is keying on Quinn’s sex appeal, something that motivates the character and drives fanboys crazy. It appears that DC is focusing more on their animated properties rather than their films.

There is no premiere date set for the DC streaming service, or the Harley Quinn animated series.
