The Alamo City Comic Con has quickly become one of the largest comic conventions in the nation. This year looks to be the biggest and best year ever, so mark October 28-30 down on your calendar. If you are a Doctor Who fan, this might be the year that you don’t want to miss! They have already announced Doctor Who alumni, Karen Gillian (Guardians of the Galaxy, Oculus) and Billie Piper (Penny Dreadful, Secret Diary of a Call Girl), but what would the companions be without a Doctor?! The Alamo City Comic Con is pleased to announce that they have added the tenth Doctor, David Tennant (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Jessica Jones) to their lists of guest appearing at this years convention. Allons-y!
Are you ready to geek out this year at the Alamo City Comic Con lineup, because we already are. They have a great list of celebrity guests appearing at the convention. Robin Lord Taylor and Sean Pertwee are joined by David Mazouz and Camren Bicondova from Fox’s Batman prequel Gotham, John Bernthal (Punisher) and Elden Hensen from Netflix and Marvel’s smash hit Daredevil, Amy Joe Johnson and Jason David Frank, both part of the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers lineup, and Billie Dee Williams (Lando), Tim Rose (Admiral Ackbar), and Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett) from the Star Wars Saga, Buckaroo Banzai himself Peter Weller (Star Trek Into Darkness, Robocop), and many, many more.
David Tennant makes this lineup a must see! The 10th Doctor touched the lives of Doctor Who fans all over the hold, and holds a very special place in our hearts. He is the only Doctor to regenerate twice, he taught all of us what it was like to truly be clever, and we wept when he said that he “didn’t want to go”, and now he doesn’t have to. He played the villain Kilgrave in Netflix’s popular Marvel television series, Jessica Jones. This will be the first time that Tennant has ever appeared in a Texas comic convention.
Tickets are already on sale for the Alamo City Comic Con, and they are sure to go fast (with Tennant added), so get out your sonic screwdrivers and prepare to take on the Daleks with the 10th Doctor, Amy Pond, and Rose Tyler.
