The wait is finally over. The first trailer for Marvel’s Spider-Man: Far from Home is here, and really looks fantastic! Check it out below:
This time, Peter Parker and his friends are off to Europe for a school trip, where he will have his first big screen run-in with Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal).
Spider-Man: Far From Home hits theaters on July 5, and is the first film in the MCU post-Avengers:
There is no indication that this film takes place before the events of Infinity War, but it does seem that this film takes place after. I know that there are a few characters in this trailer that didn’t make it through the snap. Hopefully, we will learn when this movie happens in the timeline soon.
Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) even thinks its time to get Spider-Man up to speed. This is interesting because, since the events of The Winter Soldier, Nick Fury lives in the shadows. With S.H.I.E.L.D. in shambles, what is Fury up to?
Mysterio is a famous Spider-Man villain, but it appears as though he is a hero in the MCU, at least for part of this film. Could this all be part of his ruse, to deceive the public into thinking he’s a hero when he’s not?
Spider-Man: Far From Home stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, and Jake Gyllenhaal, with Jon Watts in the director’s chair.
