DC’s The Flash movie has yet to hit the ground running with its many replacements of Directors, however, it appears the movie is finally ready to pick up its pace.
Director of the Stephen King adaptation IT and IT Chapter Two Andy Muschietti is the latest in line ready to tackle the Scarlet Speedster. While in an interview with Fandango, Muschietti was asked if he’s Directing The Flash and his response?
“Yup”, with a smile.
Furthermore, for anyone who is hopeful for his Horror tone to jump over, they will be disappointed.
“An element of horror? I don’t think so. What captivated me about the Flash is the human drama in it,” Muschietti replied. “The human feelings and emotions that play in the drama. It’s going to be fun, too. I can’t promise that there will be any horror, really, but it’s a beautiful human story.”
It’s going to be interesting in seeing how he brings Barry Allen to life and who the villain(s) will be. He is a director who would be great at using the Reverse-Flash, The Rogue Gallery or even Gorilla Grodd.
Andy Muschietti’s latest movie IT: CHAPTER TWO is mere weeks away, arriving on September 6. The cast from the first returns with the likes of James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain, and Bill Hader.
Meanwhile, the CW’s version of The Flash returns October 8 as it builds up to the Arrowverse crossover, Crisis on Infinite Earths.
The Flash movie has no release date, but hopefully, more details will be available soon.
