3. BEN AFFLECK
Affleck wasn’t a bad Batman or Bruce Wayne, the films fell short of expectations. They were a narrative mess. In terms of how Affleck portrays the character, he expertly delivers that brooding menace and haunting grit.
In many ways, he did something a little different with the character. The films around him were muddled by a lack of a realized vision or story. A lot of which I attribute to Zack Snyder being a sloppy director (Sorry Snyder fans).
Overall, in terms of the portrayal, it was dark and haunting and really played up the character’s tragic past. This shapes the vigilante’s future aspect of his story. Affleck’s run was just the unfortunate circumstance of a decent portrayal overshadowed by the lackluster films he starred in.
