Daredevil was a breath of fresh air for Netflix, and has quickly become one of the most popular television shows of 2015. The official trailer for the second season has hit the internet, and we start to see the repercussions of Matt Murdock’s actions of the first season. Although the Kingpin has been taken down for the time being, another crime organization threatens Hell’s Kitchens security, The Hand.
Murdock may have his hands full with this group of ninjas gone mercenary. Beside this new threat, Daredevil must also fight off a vigilante prowling the streets, none other than Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) a.k.a. The Punisher. He will not be alone though, Daredevil will have to enlist the help of Elektra Natchios (Élodie Yung), an ex-member of The Hand.
Check out the trailer below:
The 13-episode second season of Marvel’s Daredevil will début on March 18. This trailer gives us a lot more footage of Elektra, and some other familiar faces from the show, including Foggy and Karen. Things don’t look so copacetic between Matt and his partner Foggy. Foggy appears to be trying to protect his friend, while Matt has an obligation to protect Hell’s Kitchen. Does this mean that their partnership may be about to come to an end? Foggy seems to feel that Matt has gone a bit too far, this time. This season looks like it will make Matt face the repercussions of his actions in the first season.
Here is also a great little promo for the upcoming season, via the Daredevil Twitter account:

Another thing to note is the suit upgrade in this trailer. I love the red eyes! It isn’t quite clear if there are any other changes made after the reveal at the end of the first season, which was quite controversial. There is a lot to like in what will probably be the last trailer until Netflix releases the show on March 18.
