The newest trailer for Bungie’s Destiny 2 is here and it is a live-action smorgasbord of awesomeness. Directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts (Kong: Skull Island) and featuring what sounds like the voice of Nathan Fillion (Halo 5: Guardians, Firefly), this trailer isa two minutes of greatness. Bungie has always made awesome live-action trailers, but Destiny 2’s ranks near the top.
The game isn’t due out until next week, but hype for this game is in full swing. In the trailer, Cayde-6 rallies three Guardians into battle against the Red Legion in defense of the puppies. It’s ok if you don’t get it, watch the trailer already:

The last safe city on Earth has fallen and lay in ruins, occupied by a powerful new enemy and his elite army, the Red Legion. Every player creates his own ‘Guardian’ character and must master new abilities and weapons to reunite the city’s forces, stand together and fight back.
Bungie fixed the things that critics hated about the first game. That means that Destiny 2 will have an amazing campaign, and a few other unique tweaks. In a recent interview with GamesRadar+, game director Luke Scott confirmed that the campaign was one of the biggest changes for the second game:
“It’s actually focusing on having a followable narrative, and having a big sort of storyline, epic scenario. Layering the story content in a way we haven’t done yet for Destiny. Then, below that in the layering, you have adventures that are stories about the worlds, the planets and the particular enemies contained therein – it doesn’t directly relate to the Red War, it tells a different story.”
The studio hopes that by focusing on story, the game will attract potential new player:
“I think one of the things for bringing new people into Destiny is going to be the way we’ve approached narrative differently, in terms of trying to tell a cohesive campaign. I think in Taken King it’s certainly something myself and the team tried to bring in and improve. We’ve got the space in Destiny 2 to let that breath a little.”
