How soon could we see the first trailer for Marvel’s highly anticipated first webslinger movie, Spider-Man: Homecoming? Since Tom Holland’s début as Spidey was seen in Captain America: Civil War, fans want more. But when will the trailer show up, when the movie isn’t set to hit until next summer? According to a reputable source, the first trailer will be attached to the next Star Wars film, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
According to a source for ComicBook.com, the trailer will hit theaters on December 16th, attached to reels of Rogue One. That would mean that we will get to see Tom Holland as Spidey before the end of this year! Reports claim that this will only be a short teaser, so there will not be much to see. The way I say it, is that any footage from the new Spider-Man film is welcomed, even if it is only a 30 second clip.
Spider-Man swung into the Marvel Cinematic Universe during the events of Civil War, and Tom Holland’s performance was spectacular. The new direction of the character was welcomed with open arms by fans, and it seems that Marvel will save Spidey from any further bad films. In Civil War Spider-Man was found and mentored by Tony Stark, who gave him an upgraded suit and a quick rundown on the members of the Avengers that he would be facing-off against. The scene was genius, and showcased a Spidey that had just gained his superpowers in the last six months, and was still trying to figure his way in the world with them.
Sony has not confirmed that the teaser for Spider-Man: Homecoming will be attached to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story as of the time of his report.
Spider-Man: Homecoming is directed by Jon Watts. It stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Michael Keaton, Marisa Tomei, Robert Downey Jr., Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, and Laura Harrier.
Spider-Man: Homecoming is set to hit theaters on July 7, 2017.
