The long-awaited first trailer for X-Men’s newest film Dark Phoenix is here, and boy is there a lot to take in. This is the last film in the franchise under 20th Century Fox, before Marvel Studios and Disney take over duties. Check out the trailer below:
Dark Phoenix is the fourth film in the Young X-Men saga, and adapts one of the franchise’s most-popular comic storylines. All the chips are in with this film.
Following the X-Men First Class formula, this film takes place in 1992, and introduces us to an X-Men team that are publically welcomed heroes. Charles Xavier continues to push his team, taking on ever increasingly difficult missions.
When a mission takes the team to space, a solar flare hits the X-Jet, causing Jean Grey’s mutant abilities to take on a sinister turn. Dark Phoenix stars Michael Fassbender, Jessica Chastain, Tye Sheridan, Nicholas Hoult, Alexandra Shipp, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Evan Peters and Olivia Munn.
The film hits theaters on February 14, 2019.
