Gotham Knights is one of two new video games from DC. Where the other puts you in the shoes of the villains, this one is all about the heroes. Breaking from tradition, the game is still set in Gotham but you won’t play as Batman. In fact, in this world, Batman is apparently dead, along with James Gordon.
That leaves the protection of Gotham up to Barbara Gordon, Dick Grayson, Jason Todd and Tim Drake. While Batman: Arkham Knight gives players control of these characters, Gotham Knights is all about them.
What’s more, the game will have a drop-in and drop-out multiplayer feature. So, you’ll be able to play as Gotham’s finest with your friends.

As you can see above, the heroes are going against the Court of Owls. The secret organisation is relatively new. Created by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo in 2011, the Court are a sect of the richest of rich who control Gotham from the shadows.
However, the Court of Owls isn’t the only villain. The first trailer from last year’s DC FanDome shows Mr Freeze. This time we learn the Penguin is in the game. Whether he’ll be a boss is unknown as he could just be there for story purposes.
Gotham Knights was supposed to release this year. Due to several issues, Warner Brothers Montreal pushed it back. Its new release date is sometime in 2022 but there’s no guarantee when.
Hopefully, it won’t be too long before we find out when.
