The first images are starting to hit the internet for the Keanu Reeves-led cult classic John Wick Chapter 2. The first film was a delight, showing that no one should ever kill Reeves puppy. during a panel at the New York Comic Con, director Chad Stahelski spoke with Collider about his upcoming film John Wick Chapter 2, the sequel to the 2014 movie John Wick.

In the original film, Keanu Reeves, a famous retired hitman, just wants to be left alone. Everything goes wrong, when a pair of crooks kill Wick’s puppy left to him by his late wife. Don’t ever do that! The sequel will once again bring Wick out of retirement, as he faces off against a former colleague when he tries to take over an international assassins’ group.

According to Stahelski, the sequel will have twice the action of the original:

“I would say we had twice as much action as the first movie. We took it all a full notch up as far as the driving car stuff went. A great portion of the car chase in the opening of the film is Keanu, which is very impressive… People kept asking us in the year after the movie came out, ‘We’d like to see more about the hotel.’ ‘We’d like to see more about all the different characters.

‘What is this underworld where everyone’s the best?’ What’s it like to be in a world like this? That’s what we really wanted to expand on. Me and the other creators on the show, my partner and the other producers, the biggest attraction to us about filmmaking really is creating a universe, and creating a world, and creating a little bit of escape. That’s really what we focused on and we’re hoping that’s what comes across in the second movie.”

Stahelski also says that Reeves will have a new dog in the sequel.

John Wick Chapter 2 hits theaters on October 10.
