The wait for Star Wars: The Last Jedi is nearly over. Although Lucasfilm is giving us a new Star Wars film every year, The Last Jedi will continue the Skywalker story and answer questions fans have had for the last two years. As we near the theatrical release date of the film, franchise star Mark Hamill has a very important request for fans and critics alike.
The Last Jedi will be the first time that Luke Skywalker will show back up in the franchise except for a surprised look he gave Rey at the end of The Force Awakens. We are three weeks out from the release of the film, and Mark Hamill asks that everyone keep their mouths shut about the details and plot twist of the film. You can see his post on his Twitter page below:
The #WaitForVIII is nearly over! Let me take this opportunity to personally ask you to keep all that happens in #TheLastJedi a secret for as long as is humanly possible. Thanking you ALL in advance, ❤️- mh #LooseLipsSinkStarships pic.twitter.com/LAkhSMVI0N

You heard it from Luke Skywalker himself, KEEP YOUR YAPS SHUT! No one like a big spoiler. A lot of people have waited a long time to see this film. You wouldn’t want the same thing happening to you. If you are not seeing The Last Jedi on opening night, you might want to heed this warning: avoid social media and the internet until you see it. You would hate to find out a big twist. That will only ruin your enjoyment of the film.
The Last Jedi picks up immediately after the events of The Force Awakens, and sees Luke Skywalker return from exile and begins Rey’s Jedi training. The Jedi Master will be a little wary about beginning her training in the ways of the Force. TLJ has a lot of surprises for fans of the series, and will hopefully answer a lot of questions that The Force Awakens left. There is no guarantee that Luke will step back into his role as a hero, but it will be a tall order to see the aging Skywalker turn to the Dark Side.
