The Eternals, Marvel Studios

The final trailer for Marvel Studios Eternals is here, and it sheds a little more light on the plot of the film, and hints at bigger things coming to MCU very soon.

Check out the first trailer for Marvel Studios Eternals below:

The trailer answers a few big questions early. The first one being where have the Eternals been with everything happening on Earth including Thanos and The Snap. The second one being who the big villain of the film might be, and signs actually point to multiple characters.

The trailer hints that this in Kro, the leader of the Deviants. But this answer is a bit too simple. Eternals actually has a long-time comic villain in their ranks, Druig.

He is an Eternal with the power to influence people’s minds. In the trailer, you can spot him with what appears to be a cult of followers. In the comics, Druig tires of trying help humanity and uses his powers to control them completely.

But is this really it? In the comics, these are really just minor characters, the true big bass of the comic series is the Celestials themselves. Could this be the endgame for the movie?

The trailers do feature one celestial predominately, Arishem the Judge. At least this looks like Arishem. His helmet resembles Eson the Searcher. The Celestial featured in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1.

With DNA being so prevalent in the comic backstory of The Eternals, could this film be the first time that the topic of mutants arises in the MCU?

Oscar-winning director Chloe Zhao takes the directors chair for Eternals, and stars Richard Madden as Ikaris, Gemma Chan as Sersi, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Salma Hayek as Ajak, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Lisa McHugh as Sprite, Barry Keoghan as Druig, Angelina Jolie as Thena, and Kit Harrington as Dane Whitman.
