Although it’s been stuck in production hell for a while now, it appears that the X-Men spinoff film featuring Gambit is finally gaining traction. A new report hit the internet for Gambit that offers a list of characters that will appear in the film. Could this be an official character list for the film?
Gambit gained a solid director in Gore Verbinski (Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl), and with Channing Tatum taking the leading role, the film looks well on its way. Shooting is scheduled to begin in New Orleans in the next few months. The character list comes from That Hashtag Show:
[MARIYA] Female, Causcasian, mid 20s – early 30s. Must be 5’11’+. Tall, stunning and willowy, a Parisian glamour girl. Must speak fluent French or do a perfect French accent. ROLE REQUIRES SEQUEL OPTIONS.

Assumptions are that the character ‘Mariya’ is a codename for Bella Donna Boudreaux, who will be the love interest of Remy Etienne LeBeau in the film. Lea Seydoux joined the film in 2015, but it’s assumed she left during the stall in production. Other potential code names are ‘Lewis’ being Mr. Sinister and ‘Carissa’ being a young Candra.
