New Rogue One Trailer Hits the Internet and Begs Us to ‘Trust’

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Disney

The newest trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hit the internet this Thanksgiving weekend, and it gives us more than we bargained for. Could Disney be giving us too much information about the plot of the next Star Wars film? The newest trailer focuses on the bond between the team that looks to take down the Death Star. Is that what they are doing, or are they just trying to steal the plans for it? Who really knows at this point. Check out the trailer below:

The trailer ‘Trust’ clocks in at 1 minute, but is loaded with new footage that we have never seen before. This trailer is all about the bond of the team, and the different characters that we will meet in Rogue One. The film looks brilliant, and will take from the formula that Disney is using with its Marvel films. The trailer has humor, high stakes, villains, and loads of action. Rogue One looks like the perfect movie to begin branching out into the wider Star Wars universe.

One character that we get a lot of introduction to is K-2SO, the Imperial droid helping the Rebel Alliance, voiced by Alan Tudyk. He is an interesting droid laced with sarcastic rhetoric and a real attitude problem. The bit that we do see of him is great. I cannot wait to see the film in its entirety, and see Tudyk’s complete performance.

Rogue One will deviate from the typical formula that Star Wars fans are used to. The biggest change will be noticed immediately, because this Star Wars story will not have the ‘opening crawl’ that is seen at the beginning of every Star Wars movie. Recently, news came that we will see the man who raised Princess Leia, Bale Organa. Does this meant hat we could see a young Leia, or a profile shot of the Princess
