The New Trailer for ‘Wonder Woman’ Will Make You Believe in DC Again

We got our first glimpse of the upcoming DC movie Wonder Woman when the trailer was released at Comic-Con this past July. The movie had people excited for the new direction of DC, after a very lackluster Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. It appears as though DC has gone back to the drawing board and are back with a fierceness. The film has color and light, two things missing from BvS and Man of Steel.

The second trailer has hit the internet, and it gets me even more excited for the movie than the first trailer does. There appears to be purpose in this film. When it comes to movies about characters with god-like superpowers, intent is everything. The new trailer is full of non-stop action, but also gives us some interesting tidbits about the plot of the film. It also gives us insight to Diana, a.k.a. Wonder Woman. She is motivated and capable, and unwilling to stand by as humanity attempts to destroy itself during WWI.

I can’t get past how amazing the color palette for this film looks. The visuals grab your attention, and have a real-world sense to them. They are rich and grainy, as compared to the dark and dingy look that BvS had. Every shot of this film is full of life. The movie has a wonderful dynamic and look to it. Check out the trailer below:

This movie will find the outside world encroaching on Diana’s land, when an American fighter pilot crashes off the Amazonian shore. Diana will take up arms in hopes to stop the war herself, thrusting herself into the outside world. Will an Amazonian Princess be enough to save the world?

The next DC movie, Wonder Woman is directed by Patty Jenkins, and stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, David Thewlis and Danny Huston.

Wonder Woman hits theaters on June 2nd.

  1. I don’t know what accent Gal Gadot is using (some might say it doesn’t fit), but I don’t care. Heart swelled with the drama and purpose depicted in this trailer, I can only kneel helplessly before the goddess that is Diana and hope she won’t notice the stupid, awestruck look on my face. 😛
